Cheers to a Sparkling Year!–Teacher Gift
The first day of school is always so full of possibility! While I try to focus on the positives of meeting my students and their parents for the first time, there is also an enormous amount of pressure. I want to be at my best, ready to reassure parents, comfort new students, and set a positive tone for the year. I know that many of my colleges feel the same way, so my co-teacher and I thought it would be nice to make beginning of the year teacher gifts for our fellow preschool teachers.
I made the tags using a pre-made Cricut Design Space project template (Teacher Gift Box) on my Cricut over the summer. The cost of the project for a non-subscriber is $2.97, but it was free for me as I made it during my free 2-week trial. It was a technically easy project, but there were so many layers and small pieces to glue that it took 2-3 hours from start to finish, and that was after leaving off some of the extra flourishes. We have one male teacher on the team–for him I left off the layer of long hair, cut the skirt into a pair of shorts, and cut the heels off of the shoes. His definitely didn’t look as crisp and nice as the others, but I think he appreciated the thought and effort. I wish I had taken a picture of it before giving it to him!
My co-teacher bought the NON-ALCOHOLIC sparkling cider and wrote the note on the back: Cheers to a sparkling year and congrats on a fantastic first day!
